Accreditation
Fertility practice in each country has various regulatory standards which make it difficult for patients to find a high-quality regulated centre in the international market.

The Academy of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery is committed to ensuring high-quality care for everyone who steps into a fertility clinic, and everyone born as a result of fertility treatment.

We do this by the accreditation of fertility clinics by monitoring and inspecting fertility clinics against the high standards set by Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA) UK.

All fertility clinics and human embryo research centres in the UK must comply with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology (HFE) Act 1990 (as amended), the HFE Act 2008, and several related pieces of legislation.

HFEA has guided how to meet legal requirements in Code of Practice.

We help clinics and research centres to understand how to meet their legal requirements and high-quality standards set by the HFEA.
Our accreditation seal means the centre provides

Safe, ethical, effective treatment.

Consistent outcome and reliable success rates

High-quality processes and risk management

Commitment to high-quality standards

Why is the accreditation important?
The seal of accreditation reassures patients that the centre has adopted high-quality UK practice standards. The standards are set by Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), are the highest quality standards and highly regulated practice in the UK. HFEA is a regulatory body set up by the Government of the United Kingdom. Many countries do not have such robust regulatory standards set by the Government. Therefore, many patients struggle to find high quality, reliable and trusted fertility centre in various parts of the world. The international patients find it easy to choose a reliable certified centre. As the ARMS is committed to ensuring safe, reliable and successful fertility care, we offer accreditation service.

Regulation is important because it ensures that the work carried out is to a certain standard. Accreditation is to make sure their services are up to standard in line with the HFEA Code of Practice.

The patients can find your centre from our list of accredited international centres. By reassuring the patients with a third-party robust quality assessment and accreditation, it offers a competitive advantage to the ARMS accredited centres to attract international patients.
